Lakers Announce Official Summer League Roster and Schedule

sacreThe Lakers have officially announced their 2013 NBA Summer League roster and schedule, according to a press release from the team earlier this morning.

There are no real surprises on the roster, other than second round draft pick forward Ryan Kelly is officially listed on the roster, despite reports that he will not actually play for the team due to his recovery from off-season foot surgery. However, there are a few familiar faces and names, with fan-favorite center Robert Sacre leading the way, along with former Laker summer league team member Chris Douglas-Roberts, who looks to try and make the team again this year after being one of the last cuts the Lakers made last year.

Of the 15 players on the roster, only Sacre, CDR, Kelly, and potentially point guard Josh Selby and rookie shooting guard Michael Snaer have legitimate shots of challenging for a roster spot when training camp finally does roll around.

The Lakers’ summer league team will play three guaranteed games, against the Cavs, Trail Blazers, and Clippers, prior to the “playoffs,” where seeding will be determined by the team’s record.
