The Sacramento Kings officially announced the inaugural California Classic Summer League, which begins Monday, July 2, and will feature three days of doubleheaders at Golden 1 Center. The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings.

Reports of the Lakers participating in a Summer League that was to be held in Sacramento first surfaced earlier this month. They, along with all other 29 NBA teams, will still take part in the Las Vegas Summer League, which begins Friday, July 6.

The six games that will be played at Golden 1 Center is expected to feature rosters that include rookies selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, players entering their sophomore seasons, and those competing to make NBA and G League rosters.

“We’re excited to welcome basketball fans, teams and the NBA to tip-off the summer league season in Sacramento and enjoy the best that Northern California has to offer,” said Kings owner and chairman Vivek Ranadivé.

“Golden 1 Center and Downtown Commons are a perfect setting for NBA action, blending entertainment, technology, community and basketball.”

Games are scheduled for July 2, 3 and 5, with contests operating under modified rules, including 10-minute quarters. Specific start times have not yet been announced.

A Fan Zone is going to be set up outside the arena, where fans can enjoy live entertainment, interactive games and a special postgame party on July 3. For games on Thursday, July 5, the area will feature a family theme, with select player autographs, face painting and Kings Kids Club activities.

Coinciding with the official announcement, Kings season ticket members have early access through a three-day covering every California Classic game. Single day passes for groups of 10 or more, starting at $18, are also available starting Monday.

The general public will be able to purchase the best value, three-day pass – less than $10 per game, beginning on May 17 at Kings.com. For additional ticketing information, call 888-915-4647.
