Lakers Coach Byron Scott Calls Out Michael Jordan With Golf Challenge

It is no secret that Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott is an avid golfer. Scott spends a lot of his time on the golf course and has no problem letting people know just how good he is with his clubs.

Coach Scott recently took to Instagram to issue a challenge to a certain NBA legend that also sports multiple championship rings and a love for golf. Scott called out Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan claiming the six-time NBA champion wouldn’t have a chance against him:

If we met up today, he’d have no chance. I would wear him out.

“MJ [Michael Jordan] if you are hearing this, if you run across this somewhere, and you want some of B-Scott, let me know. My golf game is tight. Realize that!”

Clearly, Scott is supremely confident in his golf skills to issue such a challenge to Jordan. Calling out an NBA legend that is competitive as they come and relishes challenges like these was bold to say the least.

Jordan, much like Scott, can also be found on the golf course on a regular basis. Jordan was infamous for his relentless desire to improve his golf game during his NBA career. The former Chicago Bulls star sometimes played as much as 18 holes in the day before suiting up for Team USA in the 1992 Olympic Games and then crushing the international competition with little rest at night.

Scott calling out Jordan for a round of golf is bound to catch his ear at some point. If Jordan does get wind of this challenge, and hopefully this article helps, accepting the Scott’s and playing for charity might not be a bad idea.
