Lakers Draft Workouts: Harrison, Nance, Rozier, Thornton, Frazier, Pointer

collage(8)The Los Angeles Lakers worked out Andrew Harrison, Terry Rozier, Sir’Dominic Pointer, Michael Frazier, Larry Nance Jr., and Marcus Thornton on Monday morning before their private, individual workout with Jahlil Okafor.

Harrison, point guard out of Kentucky (not to be confused with his twin, Aaron), was named to the 2015 Midwest NCAA Region All-Tournament Team as a sophomore, as well as 2015 SEC All-Tournament Team.

Rozier, 6’0 1/2″ point guard out of Louisville led the Cardinals in scoring as a sophomore, averaging 17.1 points per game and named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team as a freshman.

Pointer (6’6″ G/F) spent all four years at St. John’s, winning the Haggerty Award as the New York area’s Player of the Year in his senior season, leading St. John’s to the NCAA Tournament.

Frazier, a 6’3 3/4″ shooting guard out of Florida led the Gators with 57 made three-pointers as a junior and said he thinks he is the best shooter in this draft.

Larry Nance Jr., son of Larry Sr, who enjoyed a 13-year NBA career with Phoenix and Cleveland, spent four years as a point forward at Wyoming, leading them to the Mountain West Tournament title.

Thornton, a 6’8″ forward out of Georgia spent five years playing for the Bulldogs, leading them in scoring and rebounding in his final season. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Real Estate before enrolling in the graduate program for Sports Management.
