Lakers Draft Workouts: Johnson, Hawkins, Smith, Rice, Lacey

The Los Angeles Lakers continued with their pre-draft workouts on Monday afternoon with Corey Hawkins, Dakari Johnson, Kenneth Smith, Rayvonte Rice, Trevor Lacey and Alpha Kaba in preparation for the 2015 NBA draft.

Hawkins is a 6’0 3/4″ guard out of UC Davis who received the 2015 Big West Conference Player of the Year honors, averaging 20.9 points and 5.6 assists in his senior season. Johnson, the 6’11” sophomore appeared in all 39 games for the University of Kentucky, including every game in the postseason.

Smith, the 6’3″ guard spent four seasons at Louisiana Tech, finishing as the school’s career leader in total assists and steal. Rice (6’4″ small forward) averaged a team-leading 16.5 points in 24 games as a senior at Illinois and participated in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Lacey was named All-ACC by both media (Second Team) and coaches (Third Team) as a redshirt junior at North Carolina State. Kaba, a 6’10” power forward/center played basketball in France, suited up for the Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (France – ProA). Check out all of their interviews below.
