Lakers Dunk Of The Week: Dwight Delivers The Flying Alley-Oop

It hasn’t been the best week for the Lakers who came back from San Antonio with two losses and extra injuries, but that doesn’t mean we had any trouble picking a Lakers Dunk Of The Week.

In the Lakers first game against the San Antonio Spurs, the Lakers were trailing by nine in the second quarter. Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol exchange looks at the high post. Metta World Peace cuts and draws the defenders inside, leaving Howard open on the block. Pau lobs it in but throws a pass behind Dwight who has to catch the pass from behind and deliver the alley-oop.

That’s all Dwight there, not every post player would be able to finish an oop from behind. Check out our video below and if you want to qualify for our NewEraCap.com giveaway, head over to our Lakers Nation YouTube Channel.
