Lakers Nation Reacts to Lakers Loss to Portland on Thursday

On Thursday night the Lakers lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 107-96 at the Rose Garden.

Following the loss we took to Facebook to ask members of Lakers Nation their personal opinions on why the Lakers fell to the Trail Blazers. Here are five of the best responses from Lakers Nation.

“The Main Reason the Lakers Lost to Portland Tonight was _____________.”

John Jr Liulamaga: “Age, Lakers need youth…that can score, at least. And toughness.”

Luis Dealtan: “When you have players like Gasol and Bynum you need to slow down the game to utilize those guys in the post, if you try to compete in a running game like Portland you will lose everytime. And kobe you need to run the offence, you need to understand you can’t take over games anymore, I like you but it’s time to let other people take over… Bynum.”

Braydon Sissons: “Lack of defense, and poor shooting especially from 3 point range. They need to realize they can’t shoot threes and take it inside to the basket. They also need a point guard that can run the show because right now they get out of control and they can’t stop/get on a run.”

Fayssal Laser Yassine: “Same reason why we lost to Denver. We can’t stop the quick point guards, who get their whole team running.”

George Contreras: “I love Kobe but he was trying 2 do 2 much and wasn’t getting 2 much help, either they wood drop the ball or miss there shot, and Portland just could not miss a shot, they were hot, can’t win them all, love u my LAKERS.”
