Lakers Nation Week In Review: Feb. 16 – Feb. 23

The Los Angeles Lakers returned from the All-Star break with a two game week and they went 2-0 in those matches. However, the Lakers’ recent success was overshadowed by the death of the late great Jerry Buss.

The entire Lakers community was saddened by Buss’ passing and he left a positive impact on everyone he came in contact with. After such a joyful environment around the All-Star Weekend, it was unfortunate to have such devastating news surround the Lakers.

It was a week full of tragedy for Los Angeles and here is a look back at the past seven days.

Los Angeles finished the week Friday night when it hosted the Portland Trail Blazers. The Lakers and Blazers are both fighting for a playoff spot in Western Conference, and luckily, the Lakers were able to oust their conference foes. Bryant scored 40 points for the team and Los Angeles won 111-107.
