A very happy birthday to emerging Laker swingman Earl Clark, who turned 25 years-old today. Clark, who was initially a throw-in for the Lakers in the Dwight Howard trade last summer, has turned into a crucial role player for the team over the last week with the injuries to Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill.
Clark attended Louisville, where he helped lead the Cardinals to three consecutive winning seasons before being drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 14th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He played one season in Phoenix before leaving for the Orlando Magic, where he played until being traded to Los Angeles in the summer of 2012.
This season he’s averaging 4.3 PPG and 3.3 rebounds in 15 games played.
