Lakers Nation would like to take a moment to wish a very happy birthday to Nick “Swaggy P” Young, who turned 29 years old today.

In only his first season with the Lakers, Nick Young was one of the few bright spots and quickly became a fan favorite. Growing up a Lakers fan, Swaggy P fully embraced the fans and the city of Los Angeles on-and-off the court.

While it was a difficult season, we weren’t quite sure what Young was going to do on a nightly basis and he provided that much needed element of surprise. Along with all those 40-point games off the bench and four-point plays, Young also provided some laughs with his missed 360-layup and celebrating after he thought he made a three.
