Lakers News And Rumors Recap: D’Angelo Russell To Be Re-Evaluated Today
D’angelo Russell’s Value To Lakers Has Never Been Clearer
Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

The injury bug just won’t leave the Los Angeles Lakers alone. Ever since Steve Nash broke his leg after running into Damian Lillard in the second game of the 2012-13 season, the Lakers have constantly been hit with injuries.

Even though the Lakers are an extremely young team, they just can’t seem to stay healthy. D’Angelo Russell has missed the past two weeks. Nick Young is out for the next two to four weeks with a strained calf. Jose Calderon is out for two to four weeks with a hamstring strain. And Tarik Black left the Laker’s loss to the Jazz with a sprained ankle.

The Lakers may be getting good news though, as Russell is expected to meet with team doctors later today. Russell was initially projected to miss about two weeks. Wednesday would be that two-week mark, and the Lakers desperately need his playmaking ability back.
