The injury bug continues to plague the Lakers. During Tuesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz, Steve Nash left the game with a nerve irritation and was held out for the second half. While Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni believed the injury was not serious and considered Nash day-to-day, the future Hall of Fame point guard is expected to sit out Thursday’s game against the Thunder, according to Laker Nation’s Serena Winters.
Another Laker player received an update on their injury Wednesday. Xavier Henry had his knee drained and is expected to miss four more weeks. When Henry was injured December 29, he was initially diagnosed to miss seven to 10 days before being reevaluated.
While Nash and Henry continue to be sidelined, the Lakers hope the upcoming All-Star Break will give time for roster to get rest and recover from their injuries. The Lakers have 30 games left in the season and only time will tell if a healthy Laker roster will be seen on court.
