According to rumors the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Clippers are considering the return of Lamar Odom if he gets his act together. Although everyone deserves a second chance, this will be Lamar’s fifth and sixth chance if anyone has been keeping track. But when your 6’10 and talented those things tend to happen for you.
Recently Lamar Odom has been in a downward spiral with the media and wife Khloe Kardashian. He recently received a DUI, been checking in and out of rehab, and experiencing very public marital troubles. So why would the Lakers or Clippers take such a chance and bring unnecessary attention to the locker room? Even though Lamar looked burnt out in Dallas, he did show some flashes of his old brilliance when he was with the Clippers. If Odom can promise to keep himself as straight as an arrow and work hard at his craft he could help both teams in the front court.
Can this be the big gamble to save the Lakers season? Most likely not, but it will be an interesting move nonetheless. Odom has always been a fan favorite in Los Angeles and this could be the push he needs to get his life back together and we all know everyone loves an underdog story.
If Lamar could save his marriage and stay sober it would be here in Los Angeles where he has won championships, played the best in his career, and made a name for himself.
