Despite getting a much-needed win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Christmas Day, the Lakers’ night wasn’t all filled with joy. Before the game started, the Lakers announced that Larry Nance Jr. will miss the next four weeks with a bone bruise in his knee. Lance suffered the injury in the Lakers loss to the Charlotte Hornets last week.

Nance has struggled with injuries in his first two years in the NBA. The second-year big man has already missed six games this season, after missing 15 as a rookie. The injury came at a bad time for Nance as he was developing a good chemistry with the second unit and showed flashes of being more than just a highlight dunker.
Nance has upped his averages across the board this season and has become an integral part of Luke Walton’s second unit. In his absence, expect to see Thomas Robinson get more minutes as well as some minutes for Randle at center.
