Lakers News: Bill Sharman Will Raffle Championship Ring for Charity

NBA: Houston Rockets at Los Angeles LakersFormer Lakers coach and NBA player Bill Sharman will sell his 2010 Championship ring to raise money for eight different charities. Sharman was the Lakers head coach during their 1971-72 record breaking season when the team won 33 consecutive games.

A raffle will be conducted at the Lakers practice facility and current Laker Metta World Peace along with former Lakers will be in attendance.

For those that may remember, Metta World Peace auctioned off his championship ring from 2010 and donated the proceeds to mental health charities.
