The Los Angeles Lakers have something outside of basketball that no other team has which can help lure free agents to come to Los Angeles, and that is the film industry.

Whether it’s movie or TV show appearances, or commercials, if players want to be in front of a camera then Los Angeles is the place to be.

The team’s current young core is quickly learning that, as two young Lakers players, Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance Jr. recently filmed commercials for the protein supplement company BiPro.

In Ingram’s commercial, he talks about drinking BiPro to help him gain weight, something that he needs to do to help him be successful at the NBA level, via BiPro’s official Twitter account:

Nance, who doesn’t necessarily need to gain weight, says that he drinks BiPro to help with his leaping ability for dunks:

According to BiPro’s website, the product is a protein drink meant for people who “value the role of a healthy diet in improving overall health, building and repairing muscles, and maintaining a healthy weight.”

It is nice to see that the Los Angeles market is helping guys like Ingram and Nance with endorsements, and it is even better to see that the product they are endorsing will help their play on the court.
