Lakers News: Brandon Ingram Won’t Need MRI On Right Knee
Brandon Ingram On What He’ll Remember Most About His Nba Rookie Debut

The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t quite as fortunate in their second game as they were in their first. Though they fought hard, the Lakers came up just short against the Utah Jazz. Furthermore, the Lakers got a scare in the first quarter when rookie forward Brandon Ingram tweaked his knee and left the game.

Ingram would return briefly in the second quarter, but didn’t feel quite right and was ruled out of the game for the second half.

The last thing the Lakers want is any serious injury to their prized draft pick, but on the positive side, Ingram’s knee won’t require an MRI or X-Ray according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell:

The fact that he won’t need either is a good sign that the injury was a minor one. Regardless of how minor it is, head coach Luke Walton was adamant that the team would be very cautious with Ingram via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

For his part, Ingram said he doesn’t believe the injury is serious at all and expects to practice on Saturday and play on Sunday when the Lakers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.

There was definitely plenty of worry amongst Lakers fans as Ingram’s injury seemed to be a non-contact one which is always more reason for concern. Though nothing is for certain just yet, things seem to be minor and that is good news for Ingram, the Lakers, and the fans.

The Lakers will undoubtedly be extremely cautious with Ingram and won’t rush anything, but at this time it looks like Ingram’s injury scare was just that, a scare.
