The Los Angeles Lakers got one of their most meaningful victories of the 2015-16 NBA season Wednesday night in Kobe Bryant’s final game in Boston. At the TD Garden, the Lakers played an overall solid game and walked off the court with a 112-104 win.

However, the win came at a costly price for the Lakers as rookie Larry Nance Jr. injured his ankle in the first half. Although Nance Jr. tried to play through the pain in the third quarter, it was clear that the ankle was bothering him.

After the win, head coach Scott spoke to the media and talked about the gravity of the ankle injury, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Nance Jr. has played extremely well for the Lakers as of late and Scott is very comfortable having him in the starting five. However, if this injury is serious enough, the coaching staff will likely have to place Julius Randle in the starting five, a player in much need for extra playing time.

The Lakers will be on the court next in 2016 when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers and the Lakers are the two worst team in the NBA, but Los Angeles will be looking for their first winning streak of the season.
