After losing Pau Gasol for an extended period of time, the Lakers were left with the possibility of not having either of their dominant big men on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics. However, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Howard will indeed be in action for Los Angeles when they take the floor in Boston.
After missing two games with sore shoulder, Lakers center Dwight Howard plans to play against Boston tonight, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Correction: Dwight Howard has missed three straight games for the Lakers, not two.

This is indeed encouraging news as the Celtics come into the game hot. They are winners of five straight, all of which came after they lost Rajon Rondo for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. But the Lakers have been on a streak of their own, winning six of their last seven games, including their biggest road win of the season on Tuesday in Brooklyn.
