Lakers News: Dwight Howard Adds Clippers to Wish List

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has reportedly added another team to his trade wish-list. Howard informed the Magic that if the team wants to trade him, he would prefer the New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers and now the Los Angeles Clippers. SheridanHoops.com reports that Howard told the Magic front-office that he would not mind teaming up with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

The source told SheridanHoops that Howard is intrigued by the Clippers but said that there is a chance that Howard stays with the Magic since the team is currently the number one seed in the division.

So far this season, Howard is averaging 19.4 points, 14.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. He would make a perfect fit with the Clippers and would surely enjoy playing on an athletic team. Not only will Howard receive alley-oops from Chris Paul, but he will have a great front-court partner in Griffin.

Still, the Lakers will make a push to get Howard eventually. At this point, the Magic will not be discussing trade talks until the All-Star weekend is over, so the Lakers have time to create a pleasing offer.
