The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to have star center Dwight Howard back in the lineup on Sunday when they play the Detroit Pistons.
The Lakers are currently on their Grammy Road Trip, and thus far they have gone 1-1. Their next stop will be Detroit and the team is hoping Howard can play with no limitations. Howard received a platelet-rich plasma treatment for his injured shoulder and was forced to miss the game against the Timberwolves.

However, CBS Reports that Howard is expected to be ready for the Lakers’ next game in the Motor City.
Lakers center Dwight Howard is expected to play Sunday against Detroit after making a quick trip to Los Angeles for a minor shoulder procedure.
“He’s going to give it a go,” said a person familiar with the situation.
Los Angeles played very well in the game against the Wolves without Howard, but the team needs him on the court for defensive purposes. Howard can have a major impact on the game and the only way for the Lakers to improve as a team is to have all of their star players on the court.
This shoulder injury has been bothering Howard the entire season, but luckily it has not forced him to miss an extended period of time. Nevertheless, the shoulder is an area for concern for the Lakers and they have to take precaution moving forward.
