Lakers News: Dwight Howard Out Sunday vs. Detroit Pistons

After previous rumors that Dwight Howard might play on Sunday morning against the Detroit Pistons, it’s now being reported that Howard will sit out his second consecutive game with an injured shoulder, according to Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times.

This comes hours after an announcement that the team was expecting Howard to play on Sunday. Instead, the team will once again be using Pau Gasol as their starting center with Metta World Peace and Earl Clark splitting the back-up duties.

Los Angeles takes on the Pistons as 10:00 AM PST.
