Lakers News: Ed Davis Says ‘Inexperience Kicks In’ During Crunch Time

The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to secure potentially their best road win of the season Monday night as they fell to the Golden State Warriors, 108-105. The Warriors did have all of their star players in the game and it was quite impressive seeing the Lakers challenge the best team in the NBA.

Los Angeles had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but turnovers down the stretch proved to be costly and it sealed the victory for the Warriors. After the game, Ed Davis spoke to the media and talked about the lack of experience on this roster. Davis added that the team just does not have the ability to give a “punch” to put an opponent away, via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

The Lakers were in a second night of a back-to-back with the first match coming against the Atlanta Hawks, so this performance is applaudable. However, coach Byron Scott said there are no moral victories in a loss, even if the Lakers are a very young team.

Los Angeles is now 17-49 and will be back on the court Thursday when it travels to Staples Center to host the Jazz. Although Utah is not a playoff team, it has won six consecutive games and will certainly present a lot of problems for the Lakers.
