Lakers News: Is Lakers Nation Still Watching The NBA Playoffs?

It’s been almost a week since the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Spurs, but the playoffs still go on.

While the playoffs started slow, the Western Conference has seen the Rockets battle back from 3-0, and the Warriors upset third seeded Denver. It’s always difficult to watch the playoffs after your team has been eliminated, but surprisingly Lakers Nation is still tuning into the games:

In our poll, 47 percent are still watching some of the action while 28 percent are watching all of the playoff coverage.

kobeinstagramFor the third consecutive postseason, the Lakers haven’t been able to make it to the NBA Finals as everyone believed they had a team to compete with the upper-echelon in the Western Conference.

While this season has been especially frustrating, it hasn’t deterred Laker fans from watching the rest of the playoffs. On ESPN 710 Radio this morning, host Mark Willard said that the Lakers needed to watch the playoffs, as a reminder of what it’s like to play real basketball.

The offseason is shaping up to be one of the most important in Laker history as they have to decided if they’ll keep Pau Gasol and will have to wait on Dwight Howard’s decision. While head coach Mike D’Antoni bought a new house, there is speculation that he could be replaced during the offseason.

If the Lakers are watching the playoffs, they should be highly motivated to get revive the Laker glory that’s been lost these past three seasons.
