With the 2016-17 NBA season is still over a month away, fans and players will be able to get a preview of their favorite players and teams for the year with the release of NBA 2K17.
D’Angelo Russell announced his overall rating on Twitter earlier this week and was recently followed by his fellow Laker teammates Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Clarkson received a minor bump up from his 75 overall rating in last year’s video game. Meanwhile, Nance enjoyed quite an increase from his 66 overall rating, which shouldn’t come as news given how took the majority of Lakers fans by surprise with his stellar play.

However, Nance seemed even more impressed with his physical appearance in the game as opposed to last year’s version of his virtual self, was identical to that of fellow rookie Kristaps Porzingis.
While both players have modest overall ratings, each has spent the entire summer working to elevate their game. After successfully following up his rookie season with yet another solid sophomore campaign, Clarkson has locked in on becoming a three-point assassin.
Meanwhile, Nance has also worked on stretching the floor with his outside jumper as he is now expected to have an expanded role in the offense with the arrival of head coach Luke Walton.
This year’s version of NBA 2K17 will give Lakers fans the opportunity to purchase the Legends Edition that features Kobe Bryant on the cover and is expected to release on September 20th.
