The Lakers entered Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks with five guys on the injured list, Pau Gasol playing with his upper respiratory infection and Chris Kaman suited up, but was dealing with an ankle issue.

Lakers point guard Jordan Farmar had just come off the injured list four games ago, but left Tuesday night’s game early in the third quarter with tightness in his hamstring and will get an ultrasound tomorrow morning.

“Jordan Farmar will get an MRI (sic) tomorrow and we’ll see where he stands,” said Mike D’Antoni to reporters after the game on TWC SportsNet. “He was kind of out of sorts.”

In 20 minutes, Farmar was 0-for-five from the field with no points and seven assists. D’Antoni’s hand was forced to play Kendall Marshall his most minutes of the season, 28, and he played fairly well with with 10 points and seven assists on four-of-seven shooting.

If Farmar has suffered another tear in his hamstring and is unable to play, the Lakers will be with only one true point guard on the roster again, and this time Xavier Henry will not be there to back Marshall up for, at the very least, another week as he’s out with a bone bruise suffered in the Lakers loss to the 76ers.

When asked if Farmar’s MRI was precautionary, D’Antoni said, “He said he didn’t feel like he could push off and go, so I don’t know what precautions — we’ll just have to take a look and see. We don’t know.”

In the mean time, the Lakers will play the waiting game going into the new year. One of their resolutions will definitely to be to work toward better health in 2014.
