NBA.com reports that Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill will have surgery on his left hip on Wednesday.
Hill injured the hip earlier this year and he has been ruled out for the entire season, a huge blow to a fairly weak Lakers bench. Hill provided great energy off the bench for the Lakers and was one of the most reliable players in the second unit.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill will have surgery on his left hip on Wednesday.
The team says Hill was examined Tuesday by a doctor in Nashville, Tenn. Hill was told on Jan. 12 that he needed season-ending surgery and he decided to get a second opinion.
Hill hurt the hip in the Lakers’ Jan. 6 game against the Denver Nuggets, and was given the devastating news several days after.
This season, Hill averaged 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds a game, something that will surely be missed as Hill begins a long rehab process.
