Julius Randle was expected to be a major part of the Los Angeles Lakers’ present and future, but his season ended before it started as he broke his fibula in the team’s season opener.

A player who knows something about that is Indiana Pacers star Paul George, who suffered a gruesome leg injury during a scrimmage for Team USA last summer. After the Lakers game against the Pacers, Randle got some advice from George about rehabbing his injury according to Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star:
More on Randle seeking out Paul George after the game. Randle had team security ask for PG. Randle wanted to ask abt the rehab process

Randle has a lot of rehab ahead of him as he recovers from his injury. It was also announced that Randle would undergo surgery to replace a screw in his foot from an injury he suffered in high school.
It is always difficult to return from a major injury as the mental aspect can often be more daunting than the physical. Randle actively seeking advice from players around the league is a good sign as it shows that he is trying to do everything to make a full return.
With Kobe Bryant and Byron Scott pushing him within the organization and Randle going out of his way to find the best ways to get through the tough time, it seems more likely that Randle will not only make a full recovery, but be even better when he does come back.
