The injury situation for the Los Angeles Lakers continues to get worse and worse. Rookie Julius Randle went down with a broken leg in the season opener against the Houston Rockets, according to Rachel Nichols:

As if things weren’t bad enough for the Lakers after losing Steve Nash (back) for the year and Nick Young (thumb) for the first month, the team’s lottery pick goes down in the first game of the season.
Randle was coming along quickly for the Lakers with a few impressive performances in the preseason. Unfortunately, the rookie will likely miss a considerable amount of time with the leg injury.
