Kobe Bryant has always considered himself as a student of the game, but his thirst for knowledge goes beyond the basketball court. Last week, Bryant surprised several business students at a Boston College international marketing class when he suddenly showed up to be a student for the day.
Today, while the Lakers are in Miami to face the Heat on Thursday night, Bryant went to the University of Miami on Wednesday and sat in Professor Weinstock’s marketing class. Gene Anderson, the dean of the University of Miami School of Business Administration tweeted out a picture with Bryant, thanking him for attending professor Weinstock’s class.
Thanks @kobebryant for dropping by @umiamibusiness & Prof. Weinstock’s class. The students loved it. pic.twitter.com/yzGG7Ug9FZ

Bryant is still recovering from his knee injury, so he is limited in what he can do physically, but he believes education can always continue. Bryant is one of the smartest NBA players in the league, both on and off the court. While he can’t help the Lakers win games right now, he is taking quite an interest in marketing. Bryant’s days in the NBA are coming to an end, so he might be preparing for life after basketball.
