Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Out vs. Portland Trail Blazers

Kobe Bryant will not participate in the team’s second pre-season game on Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell.

Bryant will join fellow starter Dwight Howard on the bench tonight, as well as reserve big man Jordan Hill who recently suffered a herniated disc in his back. Bryant is officially listed as day to day and should be back in time for Saturday night’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Of course, Bryant looked just fine at practice after dunking on his new teammate Antawn Jamison on Tuesday.
