The first colorways dubbed “The Masterpiece” was released February 8, and Saturday’s event allowed for fans to hear from Bryant himself about the design factors that went in to creating the shoes. In addition to the sneaker line, Kobe unveiled a new item to the Masterpiece collection on Twitter.

With Kobe still awaiting evaluation on his injured knee, the five-time champion remains sidelined. It has to be frustrating for Kobe to see the Lakers struggle this season and knowing there is nothing he can do while is hurt.
