Kobe BryantKobe Bryant is pretty good at basketball. Bryant was named Western Conference Player of the Week for the games played between March 4 and March 10, according to USA Today. This is the second time in the last three weeks that Bryant won the award, and he also was named Western Conference Player of the Month in February.

Bryant had a tremendous week, again, leading the Lakers to comeback wins in New Orleans against the Hornets and again at home against the Toronto Raptors.

Bryant led the Lakers to a 3-1 week behind an NBA-best 33.0 points, 8.8 assists (fourth in the conference), 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals. He posted back-to-back games of 40-plus points and 10-plus assists on March 6 in a win over the New Orleans Hornets and March 8 in a win over the Toronto Raptors. Winners of eight-of-their-last-10, the Lakers (33-31, .516) have moved one-half game ahead of the Utah Jazz for the eighth spot in the Western Conference Playoff race.

This is the 31st time in Bryant’s career he’s won the award.*

Bryant will look to keep his hot streak going this week when the Lakers travel to Orlando and Atlanta to face the Magic and Hawks, respectively.

*Correction: Bryant has won Player of the Month award 17 times.
