Lakers News: Kobe Bryant’s Wrist is Healing

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has been dealing with an injured wrist since the pre-season and people automatically started to doubt Kobe could play through the torn ligament. However, Bryant has not just played through the injury, he has been playing like the best player in league despite the tear.

Bryant set a league high 48 points versus the Phoenix Suns and came back the next game and dropped 40 points against the Jazz. He is the only player to score over 40 points this season and it is clear that he has found a way to play through the injury.

Kevin Ding of OCRegister reports:

“I scored back-to-back 40’s with a (bleeped)-up wrist,” Bryant said, his eyes still gleaming at the just-completed achievement. “What does it matter if it’s still (bleeped)-up in the playoffs?”

What is even better is that the torn ligament in his shooting hand is getting better and Kobe expects it to fully heal before the post-season. Despite the fact that he has been hit and thrown down, the wrist is started to regain its proper form.

“It’s getting better now,” he said. “It’s already getting better. I’ve played so many games; I’ve gotten hit on it so many times. And it’s still improving. So I’ll be fine.”

Kobe Bryant has battled injuries throughout his career and he is willing to do whatever it takes to win game. Kobe could have taken two weeks off to rest the wrist, but his competitive nature was not willing to sit-out.

Bryant has been playing stellar with the injury, and he will be even better once the wrist is back to 100 percent.
