The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night and picked up their 40th loss of the season.
With the losses piling up this year, tickets to watch the lackluster Lakers at the Staples Center have been cheaper than previous seasons.
According to Renato Mazariegos, StubHub had $10 tickets available right before tip-off:

Fewer Lakers fans are willing to spend top dollar to watch this struggling team live. Injuries continue to be one of the main reasons losses keep piling up this season. The Lakers are still without future Hall of Famers Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash, and their absence from the court seems to be affecting attendance at Staples.
Ben Bolch of LA Times noted the Lakers failed to sell out for the third time this season on Tuesday night:
It was Lakers' third non-sellout of the season. Attendance: 18,436. Two non-sellouts versus Pelicans.

The Pelicans are not much of a draw themselves. Despite having the young All-Star Anthony Davis, New Orleans are near the bottom of the Western Conference standings along with the Lakers.
The Lakers have 13 home games left this year. With the returns of Bryant and Nash being questionable this season, drawing fans into Staples Center will be a tough sell.
