According to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, Lakers starting small-forward Metta World Peace strained his left knee in tonights loss to the Warriors.
To reiterate, it’s a “strained” left knee, not “sprained,” for @mettaworldpeace. I initially tweeted “sprained,” which was incorrect.

The Lakers have been hit by the injury bug all season, and Metta became the latest victim. This news is very discouraging for fans because it seems that every time the Lakers get fully healthy a pivotal piece seems to get hurt. Metta’s injury could not have come at a worse time as the Lakers are in the thick of the race for the final playoff seed out west.
It is not known how severe the injury is, but it is expected that he’ll be re-evaluated tomorrow and a status for his availability for Wednesday’s game will be given.
