Lakers News: Mike D’Antoni Points to Chemistry For Comeback Win

Mike D'Antoni 4For the first time since their opening night win over the Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers are above .500.

The Lakers faced the Detroit Pistons on Friday night after narrowly surviving a tough game against the Nets. There were times when the Pistons had complete control of the momentum, but the Lakers were always in striking distance. Although the Lakers did not play very well in the first half, they made up for in the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles went on a 12-0 run late and Mike Trudell tweets that coach D’Antoni points to chemistry for the stellar stretch.

Nick Young and Jordan Farmar came up huge for the Lakers in the final minutes and the two guard made key plays on both ends of the court. Young in particular was clutch for the Lakers with an aggressive drive to build the Lakers’ lead and a game saving charge on the Pistons’ final possession.

Shawne Williams also had a very productive night as his 20 and nine rebounds off the bench were key in the 106-102 victory.
