After working so hard for eight months to get back from a torn Achilles, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will miss at least the next six weeks with a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau of his left knee.
Bryant only played in six games for the Lakers and while the numbers don’t look pretty, he looked like he was feeling more comfortable in his last game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Still, Bryant expects to make a strong return, calling people “idiots” if they don’t believe he’ll make a full recovery from another injury.
With the news breaking earlier this afternoon, NBA players from different teams took to Twitter to share their sadness and tweet their support for the five-time champion.
