One of the most quotable players on the Los Angeles Lakers this season has been none other than sixth man Nick Young. As arguably one of the best players on the squad, Young has bailed out the Lakers many times during the course of the season, but the team still has one of the worst records in the league.

On Saturday, Young was asked about tanking and said the following about his mindset moving forward according to Bill Oram of the OC Register:
Tanking? Nick Young will not tank. Lakers leading scorer says, "I’m not about to give up for somebody else to come in and take my spot."

With three games left to go, the Lakers are poised to have a high pick in the upcoming 2014 NBA Draft regardless of the outcome of the last few games. Despite the fact the Lakers will be playing in meaningless games next week, the veteran guard will try and lead the team to victory in every single one of them.
On Sunday, Young will potentially be playing in his last game as a Laker at the Staples Center. Young made a point of it to tell the fans to come out and watch him for the last time.
Heading into the off-season, Young will likely opt-out of the last year of his deal with the Lakers in order to pursue a more lucrative long-term deal. Young hasn’t ruled out a return to the Lakers, but the future remains uncertain with only three games potential left in his career in purple and gold.
