The season that both the Lakers and Laker fans wanted to be over is now behind them. Last season was full of disappointments with one of those big disappointments being the numerous injuries that the team suffered. So far this season is not looking so different with Steve Nash being out of the lineup with nerve pain in his back, and now Pau Gasol apparently having foot pain.
Before tonight’s game, Mike D’Antoni said Pau Gasol had foot pain via Mark Medina from L.A. Daily News:
Mike D’Antoni says that Pau Gasol has also had some foot pain. Declined to reveal specifics

Last year Gasol suffered a tear in the plantar fascia in his right foot and missed just over five weeks. His recent play has not been his best being outplayed by Antony Davis and Kevin Love in the last two games. The last thing the Lakers need is another injury to one of its star players with Kobe Bryant and now Nash out of the lineup.
There has been no word whether Gasol’s poor play in the last couple of games is related to the foot pain. The Lakers will be playing the New Orleans Pelicans again tonight with Pau Gasol expected to defend Anthony Davis.
