With Lakers forward Pau Gasol out for at least six weeks with a partially torn plantar fascia in his foot, he decided to use Twitter to speak directly to his fans and all of Lakers Nation.

That wasn’t all Gasol had to tell the fans, as he remained positive despite the news.

Gasol has had to deal with multiple injuries, trade rumors and changes to his role within the team. He is averaging 13.4 points and 8.0 rebounds in 33.4 minutes per game, and has come alive on offense in the past three games, averaging 20.0 points and 8.7 rebounds. Pau is hoping to return to the team by season’s end in efforts to help aid in a playoff run.
