Once Carmelo Anthony no longer became an option for the Los Angeles Lakers, the team was forced to consider other opportunities to improve the roster moving forward.

One move that was made was acquiring Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets and apparently the 25-year-old won’t be without a place to stay. A die-hard Lakers fan in Redondo Beach put an ad on Craigslist offering Lin a roof over his head, according to Thuc Nhi Nguyen of The Daily Breeze:
Although Lydia Lee’s two daughters have flown the coop, the diehard Lakers fan hopes her Redondo Beach home won’t be an empty nest for long.
Lee, a 72-year-old retired schoolteacher, with the help of daughter Joanna Lee, posted an ad on Craigslist on Sunday night offering a spare room to NBA point guard Jeremy Lin, whom the Lakers acquired in a trade with the Houston Rockets earlier that day.
Lin is no stranger to needing a place to crash after being acquired by a new team. The journeyman point guard slept on teammate Landry Fields’ couch during his time with the New York Knicks while making headlines on a nightly basis when ‘Linsanity’ hit the Big Apple during the 2011-12 NBA season.

Fortunately for Lin, the veteran no longer has to struggle affording a hotel or an apartment with the former Harvard standout set to make almost $15 million next season while wearing purple and gold.
Lin signed a three-year deal with the Rockets back in 2012 which has paid him over $10 million the last two seasons.
