Newly acquired Los Angeles Lakers center Roy Hibbert, who was traded after the team failed to sign any of their frontcourt targets in free agency, is getting accustomed to living in the area. Earlier this week, Hibbert was spotted by TMZ Sports out in Beverly Hills and was asked about celebrity aliases. It turns out like most athletes and celebrities, he prefers to go unknown (incognito) when checking into visiting hotel rooms according to TMZ Sports.

What will Roy Hibbert make this season? Find out here!

When asked on his thoughts on celebrity aliases, the Lakers center admitted that many players use either movie or television stars to go unnoticed when traveling on the road. Hibbert declined to give any names that other players have tossed out by now, but did give up his name that he uses from time to time:

It turns out the two-time All-Star uses the alias of ‘Cory Matthews,’ the character played by Ben Savage of the ABC sitcom, Boy Meets World. Savage now plays the same character of Matthews for the sequel of that show, Girl Meets World.

As for Hibbert, he is coming off a disappointing 2015 season to say the least with the Indiana Pacers after finishing second for Defensive Player of the Year in 2014. The seven-year center now has a chance to redeem his All-Star caliber play in an expiring contract that fit right into the Lakers’ cap space after missing out on other big men in free agency. He can get back to this style of play by providing the rim protection the team needs to establish their frontcourt defense.
