With the NBA Draft last night the Lakers added to their roster with Duke’s Ryan Kelly. The stretch big man is hopefully one that will bring some outside shooting to a team that desperately needed it a season ago. Mitch Kupchak talked about the pick following the Draft at the team practice facility, but also discussed several other key stories that are sure to interest Laker fans.
Kupchak also talked about the possibility of Howard leaving the Lakers, and said that it reminded him of when Kobe was a free agent nearly a decade ago. According to Mitch, this scenario is “scary close” to what the organization went through with Bryant.
Speaking of Howard, with news that he might be headed east, it seems that Dirk Nowitzki is the latest to reach out to the big man in hopes to lure him to a new city. Will it work getting Dirk to Dallas?
