Lakers News: Steve Blake’s Injury Gets Complicated

The Los Angeles Lakers have been without Steve Blake for several weeks now, but his injury appears to be more complicated than initially expected. Although there is a chance that Blake returns within a week, he has developed complications with his abdominal injury.

Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times and Mike Trudell of Lakers.com gave updates to Blake’s injury and a possible timetable for his return.

The Lakers will surely benefit once Blake gets back on the court as he has proven to be an effective point guard for them. In addition, Blake will give Steve Nash extra minutes on the bench, something that will be beneficial in a long, demanding season.

In seven games this season, Blake has averaged 5.1 points and 3.4 assists.
