After the win against the Philadelphia 76ers in a 112-98 victory Friday Night, Steve Nash spoke reflected on his NBA career.
During his locker room interview, he spoke with Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report about his passion for the game of basketball:
Nash: "I love the game. And when you realize it's almost gone, you love it more." #40

Nash, who turned 40 today, had his best game this season so far with 19 points, four rebounds and five assists. Nash’s 19 points was the most scored by a 40-year-old since Karl Malone with 20.
With such a injury-riddled season, Nash and company are striving to find success with any kind of capability left. Although many believe retirement was on the horizon after his latest injury setback with root irritation in his back, the veteran point guard appears to still have something left in the tank.
It remains to be seen if Nash can sustain this level of play, but he’s definitely turned some heads after an impressive performance against the 76ers.
Nash’s next test will be against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday in his first game back at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
