The Los Angeles Lakers have officially signed All-Star point guard Steve Nash after a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers sent draft picks to the Suns for Nash and the a new era has started in Los Angeles.
Even though the trade was made last week, things weren’t able to become official until late Tuesday night.

The Lakers, as well as all other teams in the NBA, could not officially sign Nash until the ban was lifted at midnight eastern time on July 11. The team did not waste any time inking their new point guard.
Nash will be introduced at an official press conference tomorrow at the Lakers practice facility in El Segundo. That facility, ironically, is on Nash St. How appropriate.
The press conference is scheduled for 12:00 PM PT.
