Lakers News: Xavier Henry Out At Least Another Week

Xavier Henry 9As the matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers got underway on Tuesday night, an update was given on Xavier Henry’s status. Henry will miss at least another week with the bone bruise in his right knee according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin:

The injuries continue to pile up for the Los Angeles Lakers with Henry being one of the many on the shelf for this team. Henry was thought to possibly return against the Cavs on Tuesday, but was dealing with soreness in the injured knee that ultimately kept him out of the lineup.

Along with Henry out for at least another week, the Lakers are without Steve Blake, Steve Nash, Jordan Farmar and Kobe Bryant. Nash and Bryant might return to the floor for the Lakers on Jan. 28 against the visiting Indiana Pacers, but nothing is set in stone at this point.

In the meantime, the Lakers will have to take the floor with a depleted backcourt with Jodie Meeks and Kendall Marshall leading the way.
