All this talk about ‘Lob City’ makes Lakers fans sick to their stomach. That’s precisely why this week it was all about the ‘Block Party’ that the Lakers reigned over their opponents. The 34-year-old, Kobe Bryant, had four blocks in the Lakers win over the Portland Trail Blazers this week, including an exceptional rejection on Will Barton, a rookie that’s always idolized Kobe Bryant.

But, the Black Mamba was just the runner up this week. Instead, Earl The Pearl Clark had everyone out of their seats after shutting down Quincy Pondexter in last Friday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.  Plus, rather than crushing the ball out of bounds, he manages to save the possession for the Lake Show at a crucial moment in the fourth quarter.
