Despite missing rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, the Los Angeles Lakers have a winning streak going thanks to the superb play of Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle. Larry Nance Jr. has also seen an uptick in his play recently, and it’s paying off in the win column.

However, Clarkson, Randle, and Nance are all rumored to be on the trade block for the Lakers as the Feb. 8 trade deadline inches closer.

On the latest episode of the Lakers Nation Podcast, Trevor Lane and Hannah Kulik discuss whether or not the recent stretch of strong play will change the team’s mind about dealing any of these players.

Clarkson, in particular, has been spectacular in the last two Lakers wins. He is scoring efficiently and is even starting to flash some of the playmaking skills that he showed in 2014-15 when he secured a spot on the first-team all-rookie squad.

However, he’s often considered to be the most moveable piece on the Lakers’ roster thanks to his long-term deal.

If they want to be able to sign a pair of max-free agents this summer, the Lakers will almost certainly need to find a new home for at least one of Randle and Clarkson, and it isn’t out of the question to see both jettisoned elsewhere.

With general manager Rob Pelinka’s recent comments about the team potentially not making a trade if an opportunity doesn’t present itself, it’s possible that the Lakers will instead wait until the summer to make a splash.

Additionally, we take a look at the latest names to hit the trade market. Might the Lakers be interested in working out a trade for Rodney Hood, DeAndre Jordan, Derrick Favors, or Kemba Walker?
